Hey there, friends.......its great to get connected again!
After spending 25 years in the beautiful city of Chicago, I moved to Corpus Christi, Texas -a beautiful gem on the Gulf of Mexico. Stayed there for only three years with my husband and 2 sons. We moved back to Illinois, but then became---oh--NO the dreaded word....."suburbanites". City girl, turned suburban...its like being a traitor....andit took me a long time to accept , it just is what it is...and I learned to love it. Yet, even today, my heart beats a little livelier when I am back home in my "sweet home Chicago". My oldest sons are grown and on their own and I am still raising my youngest son who is nearly 13...on my own as a single mom! To complete our family, we ahve a yellow lab and two cats. formal education were always people-related. My most recent work being in law enforcement communications....aka....911 dispatching. It has been most rewarding. I am so grateful to the educators with whom I have been blessed with,throughout my school years. The solid foundations we received as young people prepared us to give to the world our very best possible! Recently, I moved to the Rockford, Illinois area........and this is probably the closest I will ever be to living like a country girl. I do alot of gardening nowadays. Gotta love the variety and changes in life.....and then its nice to know you can always count on certain things and friends always being there...and that those really cool, important things dont ever change!
